Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unzip Fully: Before putting on, ensure the side zip fastener is completely unzipped.
- Slide Foot In: Use the AirWair tab at the back of the boot to assist in pulling the boot onto your child's foot.
- Zip Up: Once the foot is comfortably in, zip up the side fastener. Ensure it's not too tight, allowing for natural foot movement and comfort.
- Check Fit: Make sure there is adequate room for toes to wiggle. New leather boots may feel a little stiff initially but will adapt with wear.
Compatibility
These Dr. Martens 1460 Kids Boots in black are designed for unisex wear and are versatile enough to complement a wide range of children's clothing styles, from casual to more structured outfits. They are suited for everyday wear across various seasons.
Care
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Dr. Martens 1460 Kids Boots:
- Patent Leather Upper: Gently wipe the patent leather surface clean with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. For tougher marks or to maintain its distinctive shine, use a specialized patent leather cleaner according to product instructions. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or brushes, which can damage the finish.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can crack or damage the leather.
- Synthetic Sole: The synthetic sole can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
- Zip Maintenance: Regularly check the side zip for any trapped debris and ensure it operates smoothly. A tiny amount of zipper lubricant (like zipper wax) can be applied if it becomes stiff.
