Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: To set up your Motorola Edge 70, power on the device by pressing and holding the power button. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, connect to Wi-Fi, sign in to your Google account, and restore from a backup if desired. You can also set up a new device from scratch.
SIM Card: The Edge 70 supports Dual SIM with one NanoSIM and one eSIM. Insert the NanoSIM into the SIM tray located on the side of the device using the provided SIM ejector tool. To activate eSIM, navigate to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs and tap 'Add eSIM'.
Compatibility: The device supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.4 for seamless connectivity with modern accessories and networks. It uses a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, with support for USB 2.0 speeds. It is compatible with a wide range of USB Type-C accessories and chargers, though a 68W charger is recommended for optimal fast charging speeds.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the screen and body with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For tougher smudges, use a slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Screen Protection: The Corning Gorilla Glass 7i offers good scratch resistance, but a screen protector is recommended for maximum protection against drops and deep scratches.
- Water Resistance: While rated IP68 and IP69, avoid prolonged submersion in salt water or chlorinated pools. Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly if exposed. It's not recommended to intentionally submerge the device.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery health, avoid extreme temperatures and use the recommended fast charger. Charging overnight is generally safe due to battery management software.
