Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting the best results from your Superfresco Easy Aura Grey Wallpaper involves proper preparation, careful application, and simple ongoing care.
Setup Instructions
- Prepare Your Walls: Ensure your walls are clean, dry, smooth, and free from loose paint or dust. Fill any holes or cracks and sand smooth for a perfect finish. For best adhesion, prime porous walls with a suitable wallpaper primer.
- Gather Tools: You will need a tape measure, spirit level, pencil, wallpaper paste (if not pre-pasted or paste-the-wall type, refer to specific product instructions), paste brush/roller, smoother/brush, utility knife with sharp blades, and a damp sponge.
- Measure and Cut: Measure your wall height, adding approximately 10cm extra for trimming at the top and bottom. Cut your first strip. For subsequent strips, lay them out and carefully match the `64cm straight design repeat` before cutting, ensuring batch codes match.
- Apply Paste: Most Superfresco Easy wallpapers are `paste-the-wall`, meaning you apply the paste directly to the wall section where you'll hang the paper. If not, apply paste to the back of the paper evenly.
- Hang the First Strip: Use a spirit level to draw a vertical line on your wall where the first strip will be hung, ensuring it's perfectly straight. Align the paper with this line and smooth it down from the center outwards to remove any air bubbles.
- Match Patterns: Carefully hang subsequent strips, aligning the pattern precisely at the seams. Trim excess paper at the top and bottom with a utility knife and straight edge.
- Clean Up: Gently wipe away any excess paste from the paper and seams with a damp sponge.
Compatibility
This wallpaper is compatible with most interior wall surfaces, provided they are properly prepared. It's suitable for plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted walls. Avoid use in excessively damp or high-moisture environments like bathrooms without proper ventilation, as constant moisture can affect adhesion over time.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: The `washable` surface means you can gently clean it with a soft, damp sponge or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbing, which can damage the design or finish.
- Dusting: Regularly dust the wallpaper with a soft, dry cloth or a duster to keep it looking fresh.
- Removal: When you're ready for a change, the `peelable` feature allows for easy removal. Simply lift a corner and slowly peel the wallpaper away from the wall. If any adhesive residue remains, it can typically be wiped clean with warm water and a sponge.
