Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
Setting up your Paoletti Shiraz curtains involves a few key steps to ensure they hang beautifully and function effectively.
- Prepare Your Window: Ensure your curtain track is securely installed above your window. These curtains are designed for use with tracks and require curtain hooks.
- Attach Hooks: Insert curtain hooks into the pencil pleat heading at regular intervals. The number of hooks will depend on the width of your curtains and track.
- Gather Pleats: Gently pull the cords within the pencil pleat heading to gather the fabric to the desired width for your window. Ensure the gathers are evenly distributed for a neat finish. Secure the cords with a knot, but do not cut them in case you need to adjust later.
- Hang Curtains: Carefully attach the hooks to your curtain track gliders. Adjust the positioning of the hooks and the pleats until the curtains hang evenly and elegantly.
- Install Tiebacks: Attach the included matching tiebacks to the wall beside your window, if desired, to hold the curtains open during the day.
Compatibility
- Window Areas: The adaptable pencil pleat design means these curtains will fit a wide range of window sizes, provided the track is appropriately sized.
- Interior Styles: Best suited for traditional home interiors due to their opulent floral jacquard and damask pattern.
- Installation Hardware: Requires a curtain track and curtain hooks, which are *not* included with the curtains.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and beauty of your Paoletti Shiraz curtains.
- Cleaning: These curtains are Dry Clean Only. This is crucial to maintain the integrity of the chenille-style fabric and embroidered damask pattern.
- Drying: After professional cleaning, Line Dry is recommended. Avoid tumble drying.
- Material: Made from 100% Polyester. Follow professional dry cleaning instructions for polyester fabrics.
- Dusting: Regularly dust the curtains with a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner on a low setting or gently shake them to prevent dust buildup on the chenille fabric. This helps maintain their appearance between dry cleans.
