Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your leather gilet remains in peak condition, store it on a wide, padded hanger to maintain the garment's shape, rather than a thin wire hanger which can cause leather distortion. When sizing, consider the thickness of the layers you plan to wear underneath; if you frequently layer with heavy wool sweaters, you may want to ensure the fit allows for comfortable movement. For care, avoid machine washing. If the leather becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators. Periodically apply a leather conditioner to keep the material supple and prevent cracking.
