Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting started with your Tommee Tippee Advanced Anti-Colic bottles is straightforward, but proper setup and care are essential for optimal performance and hygiene.
Initial Setup
- Disassemble: Before first use, completely disassemble all bottle components: bottle, screw ring, teat, anti-colic wand, and base valve.
- Clean: Wash all parts thoroughly in warm soapy water. Use a bottle brush to clean the bottle and a small teat/wand brush to clean the teat and the inside of the anti-colic wand. Rinse well.
- Sterilise: Sterilise all components. You can use the self-sterilising feature (detailed below) or another preferred sterilisation method.
- Assemble: Once dry, reassemble the bottle. Ensure the anti-colic wand is securely fitted into the base, the base valve is correctly seated, and the teat is pulled through the screw ring until securely in place.
Compatibility
- Teats: These bottles are designed to work optimally with Tommee Tippee Advanced Anti-Colic teats. While this pack includes slow flow teats, other flow rates (medium, fast, vari-flow) are available separately to adapt as your baby grows.
- Other Accessories: The bottles are compatible with other Tommee Tippee Advanced Anti-Colic accessories, such as insulated bottle bags or bottle warmers.
Care & Cleaning
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, disassemble all parts and wash them immediately in warm soapy water to prevent milk residue build-up. Rinse thoroughly.
- Self-Sterilising: For quick sterilisation:
- Pour exactly 30ml of water into the bottle base.
- Place the disassembled clean components (anti-colic wand, teat, screw ring, bottle) into the bottle base.
- Secure the dome cap loosely on the bottle.
- Place in the microwave for 3 minutes (based on an 800W microwave). Allow to cool for 5 minutes before handling.
- Dishwasher Use: All components are safe for the top rack of a dishwasher. However, for thorough cleaning of the anti-colic wand and small parts, hand washing with a small brush is recommended.
- Storage: Store clean, dry bottles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
