FAQs

Is this jacket machine washable?

Yes, but use a gentle cycle with a technical detergent and avoid fabric softeners which can strip the waterproof properties.

How warm is the fleece backing?

The fleece provides a moderate level of warmth, ideal for layering during active outdoor pursuits in autumn or spring.

Does the hood provide enough coverage?

Yes, the hood is fully adjustable, allowing you to tighten it for a secure fit in windy conditions.

Can I wear this in heavy snow?

While it is waterproof up to 10,000mm, it is designed for active use; for extreme, prolonged exposure to heavy snow, consider a dedicated technical hardshell.

What is the primary material used?

The jacket is constructed from high-quality polyester, designed to balance breathability with weather protection.

Troubleshooting

Water beading is no longer effective on the fabric surface

The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating may need to be reapplied using a spray-on treatment after a thorough wash.

The hood zip is sticking or difficult to remove

Clean the zipper track with a soft brush to remove dust or grit, then apply a silicone-based zipper lubricant.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maintain the integrity of the water-repellent coating, avoid using harsh detergents when washing. It is recommended to wash the jacket in cool water with a technical cleaner designed for waterproof gear. Always air dry the garment away from direct heat sources like radiators to preserve the fabric's flexibility and waterproof rating. When attaching or detaching the hood, ensure the zip track is clear of debris to prevent snagging.
