FAQs
Can I wear the Gel-Rocket 12 outdoors?
These trainers are designed specifically for indoor court surfaces. Using them on outdoor asphalt or concrete will significantly shorten the life of the rubber outsole.
Are these shoes suitable for running?
They are designed for indoor court sports involving lateral movement. While suitable for brief warm-ups, they lack the structural support needed for long-distance road running.
Do these shoes mark gym floors?
No, they feature a non-marking rubber outsole specifically engineered to be safe for indoor hardwood and synthetic gym floors.
How do I determine if they are the right size?
There should be about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to allow for natural foot swelling during exercise.
Can I replace the insoles?
Yes, the internal sock liner is removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if required.
Troubleshooting
Slipping on court surface
Ensure the outsoles are free of dust and debris by wiping them with a damp cloth, as dust accumulation significantly reduces traction.
Feeling of looseness during movement
Re-tie the laces using a runner's loop to secure the heel fit and ensure the TRUSSTIC system can properly stabilize the midfoot.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent grip on indoor court surfaces
- Effective shock absorption for landings
- Lightweight and breathable construction
- Strong lateral support for multidirectional movement
Cons
- Designed exclusively for indoor use
- Limited cushioning for long-distance outdoor running
- Upper material is susceptible to scuffing on rough surfaces
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Gel-Rocket 12 trainers, proper care is essential.
Setup: Ensure you have the correct size and lace them securely to take full advantage of the internal support structure.
Compatibility: These shoes are optimized for indoor gym floors. Avoid using them on concrete or asphalt, as this will rapidly wear down the non-marking outsole tread.
Care:
- Keep them clean by wiping the upper mesh with a damp cloth after use.
- Allow the shoes to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources.
- Remove the sock liner periodically to shake out debris and prevent moisture buildup.
