Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
When first using your adidas F50 Elite boots, ensure you achieve a snug and secure fit.
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting on the boots.
- Foot Insertion: Gently slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is fully seated. The PRIMEKNIT mid-cut collar should provide a comfortable, supportive embrace around your ankle.
- Tightening: Systematically tighten the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring an even pressure across your foot. Avoid over-tightening, which can cause discomfort, or under-tightening, which can lead to instability.
- Break-In Period: Like most high-performance footwear, a short break-in period during light activity or training sessions is recommended to allow the materials to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are optimized for natural grass fields that are dry or slightly damp.
- Recommended Use: Natural grass, firm conditions.
- Avoid Use: Soft ground (SG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor surfaces (IC). Using FG boots on inappropriate surfaces can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear of the studs, and potentially discomfort or injury.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the performance and longevity of your F50 Elite football boots.
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, wipe off excess dirt and debris using a damp cloth. For more stubborn dirt or mud, a soft brush can be used on the Fibertouch upper and outsole.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators, heaters, or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Avoid storing them in sealed bags for prolonged periods, as this can promote odor and material degradation.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the synthetic materials and finishes.
- Manufacturer Instructions: Always refer to the specific care instructions provided by adidas for any additional guidelines or warnings.
