FAQs

What is the primary material of the jacket?

The jacket is crafted from 'nylon extra legér' for the exterior and lining, with a filling of 90% down and 10% feather.

Is this jacket suitable for heavy rain or snow?

While the nylon offers some resistance, this jacket is primarily designed for warmth and style in mild to cool weather. It is not a waterproof technical shell and may not be suitable for heavy precipitation.

How should I clean the jacket?

The MONCLER COLLECTION Acorus Short Down Jacket is strictly dry clean only. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, except for a low-heat tumble dry with tennis balls after professional cleaning to restore loft.

What does 'nylon extra legér' mean?

'Nylon extra legér' refers to a very lightweight and fine gauge nylon fabric, characteristic of Moncler's focus on both performance and sophisticated aesthetics.

Can this jacket be worn in very cold temperatures?

It provides good warmth for its weight, making it suitable for cold weather. For extreme cold, it might be best used as a layering piece over warmer garments.

Does the jacket have an adjustable hood?

The provided product information does not specify a hood. This model is a classic short down jacket, typically without one.

What are the care instructions for the down filling?

To maintain the down's loft and insulating properties, professional dry cleaning is recommended. Avoid harsh detergents or excessive heat, and ensure the jacket is fully aired after cleaning.

Troubleshooting

Down feathers escaping from seams.

This is normal with high-quality down products. Gently pull the feather back inside from the opposite side of the fabric. Avoid excessive pulling.

Jacket loses loft or feels flat.

This can happen if the down becomes compressed or damp. Ensure the jacket is dry cleaned properly and then tumble dry on a very low heat setting with clean tennis balls to help restore loft.

Exterior fabric appears dull or dirty.

As the jacket is dry clean only, professional cleaning is the best solution for overall fabric care. For minor, fresh stains, consult a specialized dry cleaner immediately.
