FAQs
Are these shoes machine washable?
No, these Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins® are not machine washable. Hand wash removable insoles if necessary, and clean the upper with a damp cloth. Always air dry.
Can I adjust the fit of the laces?
The stretch laces on this model are tied off and decorative; they are not functional for adjusting the fit. The fit is determined by the Heel Pillow® and the Cozy Fit® upper.
Are these suitable for walking long distances?
Yes, the Contour Foam™ midsole and Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole provide good cushioning for walking and daily wear. However, for very long distances or high-impact activities, a shoe with more specialized support might be preferable.
What is the primary benefit of the 'Hands Free Slip-ins®' feature?
The main benefit is the convenience of putting on and taking off shoes without needing to bend down or use your hands, ideal for quick transitions or for individuals with mobility challenges.
How do I maintain the 'Cozy Fit®' upper?
The quilted 'Cozy Fit®' upper should be cleaned gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid soaking the material or using harsh cleaning agents.
What foot widths are these shoes best for?
These shoes are generally best suited for men with average to slightly narrow foot widths due to the 'Cozy Fit®' design which offers a snug feel.
Can I replace the Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole?
Yes, the Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole is typically removable and can be replaced with your preferred aftermarket insoles if needed for additional support or a different fit.
Troubleshooting
Difficulty slipping foot in
Ensure your heel is fully back in the shoe. The Heel Pillow® is designed to assist, but a slight wiggle might be needed initially. For future use, try sliding your foot in at a slightly more forward angle.
Heel feels loose or is slipping
The Heel Pillow® is designed for a snug fit. If it still feels loose, ensure you are wearing appropriate socks. For some foot shapes, a thicker sock might provide a more secure feel. This model is not intended for activities requiring extreme ankle stability.
Upper feels too tight
The 'Cozy Fit®' upper provides a snug feel. If it feels uncomfortably tight, especially after prolonged wear, consider trying a different Skechers model designed for wider feet. The material has minimal stretch.
Insole is uncomfortable or not providing support
Ensure the Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole is properly seated. If it remains uncomfortable, it may not be suited to your specific foot arch needs. Consider using an aftermarket supportive insole designed for your foot type.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
These shoes require no setup. They are ready to wear straight out of the box. The 'Hands Free Slip-ins®' technology allows you to simply slide your foot in, utilizing the internal heel structure.
Compatibility:
- Foot Type: Best suited for average to slightly narrow feet. Individuals with very wide feet might find the 'Cozy Fit®' upper restrictive.
- Activity Level: Designed for low to moderate impact activities like walking and daily wear. Not recommended for intense athletic training or sports.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning the Upper: Use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe away dirt and dust from the quilted upper and synthetic overlays. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Cleaning the Insole: The Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole can often be removed. Hand wash gently with mild soap and water, then allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not machine wash.
- Drying: If the shoes get wet, stuff them loosely with paper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
