Yes, the felt and PVC dot backing is designed to be safe for standard indoor hard flooring, including hardwood, laminate, and tile.
We recommend air drying to prevent potential heat damage to the PVC backing, which can degrade if exposed to high dryer temperatures.
It means the textile has been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of substances that could be dangerous to human health.
Wash as needed when stains or dust accumulation occur. Regular vacuuming is usually sufficient for day-to-day maintenance.
The rug is machine washable, which makes managing the light color much easier than non-washable rugs, though it may require more frequent spot cleaning.
Ensure the floor surface is clean and dry; if the PVC dots have collected dust, wipe the backing with a damp cloth to restore grip.
Lay the rug flat and leave it in a warm room for 24-48 hours, or gently steam the back of the rug to release the fibers.
To set up, simply unroll the rug in your desired location; the anti-slip backing should grip most indoor surfaces like wood, laminate, or tile immediately. If the rug has fold lines from shipping, laying it flat in a warm room usually helps the pile recover within a few hours. For maintenance, use a gentle cycle in your washing machine and air dry to preserve the integrity of the PVC dot backing. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that could damage the fabric fibers.
