Setup
- Lacing: Thread the laces through all eyelets, ensuring they are not twisted.
- Fitting: Slide your foot in, using the pull loop at the heel for assistance. Ensure your heel sits snugly at the back of the shoe.
- Tightening: Begin tightening the laces from the toes upwards, ensuring even tension. Avoid overtightening, which can restrict circulation, but ensure the foot feels secure and doesn't slide inside the shoe.
- Walk Test: Take a few steps to check for comfort and fit. There should be about a thumb's width space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
Compatibility
These walking shoes are designed for:
- Hiking and Trekking: Ideal for day hikes and multi-day treks on established trails.
- Outdoor Activities: Suitable for general outdoor use, dog walking, and nature exploration.
- Varied Terrain: Performs well on dirt paths, gravel, grass, and moderate rocky surfaces.
- Weather Conditions: Waterproofing makes them suitable for damp or rainy conditions.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy conditions, brush off loose dirt. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and lukewarm water. A mild soap can be used for tough stains, but avoid harsh detergents.
- Drying: Remove insoles and laces. Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), which can damage materials and adhesives. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Maintenance: Periodically check laces for wear and replace if necessary. Inspect the outsole for embedded debris that might reduce traction. For waterproof protection, occasionally treat the outer material with a suitable footwear protector spray, following the product's instructions.
