Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
This shoe cabinet arrives ready to assemble. Follow the included instructions carefully for proper construction.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the parts list in the manual.
- Identify Hardware: Separate and identify all screws, dowels, and other hardware.
- Assemble Frame: Construct the main cabinet frame following the numbered steps in the manual.
- Install Drawers: Assemble each of the six pull-down compartments and install them into the frame.
- Attach Back Panel: Secure the back panel to add rigidity to the structure.
- Position & Anchor: Place the cabinet in its desired narrow space. For safety and stability, especially in homes with children or pets, it is highly recommended to anchor the cabinet to the wall using the provided anti-tip kit. Ensure the profiled plinth aligns with your skirting board for a flush fit.
Tools You'll Likely Need: Screwdriver (Phillips head), hammer, possibly a drill for wall anchoring (depending on wall material).
Compatibility
- Space: Designed specifically for narrow spaces such as hallways, entrances, and smaller rooms.
- Shoe Size: Accommodates `at least a dozen pairs of standard size men's shoes`. Larger shoes (e.g., men's size 12+), high boots, or very high heels may not fit optimally or might reduce the total capacity per compartment.
- Wall Type: The cabinet can be anchored to most standard interior wall types. Ensure appropriate wall plugs/fasteners are used for your specific wall material.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the matt painted frame and surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Dusting: Regularly dust the exterior to maintain its clean aesthetic.
- Compartment Care: Periodically check the pull-down mechanisms for smooth operation. Clean any debris or dust from the interior of the compartments to keep shoes fresh.
- Stability Check: Occasionally check all assembly screws and wall anchors to ensure they remain tight and secure.
