FAQs

Are these shoes true to size?

Yes, they generally follow standard UK children's sizing, but the low-profile design provides a more form-fitting feel.

Can these be worn for running?

While durable, these are built for skate performance, which prioritizes board feel and flat stability over the high-impact cushioning needed for running.

How do I prevent the red coloring from fading?

Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight and avoid using heavy chemical cleaners which can cause pigments to bleed or fade.

Are they machine washable?

No, machine washing can damage the durable bonding agents and the structural integrity of the skate materials.

Do these shoes provide good ankle support?

Being a low-profile skate shoe, they focus more on foot-to-board connectivity rather than high-top ankle stabilization.

Troubleshooting

Shoes feel too tight across the midfoot

Try adjusting the lacing pattern to be looser at the lower eyelets, or ensure you are wearing appropriate thickness skate socks.

Excessive wear on the outsole grip

Skateboarding inherently causes friction wear; use a specialized shoe goo or rubber repair compound if high-wear areas develop holes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Highly durable materials suited for skate wear
Excellent foot stability during active use
Clean, low-profile design that is versatile for daily outfits
Reliable construction quality from a trusted skate brand

Cons

Low-profile silhouette may offer less cushioning than bulky running shoes
Specific fit requires accurate sizing for maximum comfort
Material is optimized for board grip rather than long-distance running

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your DC Skate Shoes maintain their longevity, follow these care instructions:

Breaking In: New skate shoes may feel stiff initially; wear them for short periods before long skate sessions to allow the materials to mold to your feet.
Cleaning: Use a dry soft-bristled brush to remove dust and debris from the surface. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap; avoid soaking the shoes as this can damage the structural adhesives.
Drying: Always air dry shoes away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials or cause the sole to lose its bond.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture buildup and preserve the integrity of the skate-ready rubber outsoles.
