Full details
The adidas Predator Sala "Core Black" trainers are designed for adult male futsal players seeking precision, control, and a sporty style on indoor courts. These iconic shoes offer a comfortable fit and durable synthetic upper with a ribbed structure for enhanced ball control, while the non-marking rubber outsole ensures maximum grip and agility. A potential consideration is that the synthetic upper, while durable, may require a break-in period for optimal comfort.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for outdoor use?
No, the adidas Predator Sala trainers are specifically designed for indoor court surfaces. The outsole and upper materials are optimized for performance and durability in an indoor environment and may wear out quickly or perform poorly on abrasive outdoor surfaces.
How do I determine the correct size?
Refer to the size chart provided by adidas or the retailer. It is recommended to measure your foot length and compare it with the indicated UK sizing. For futsal shoes, a snug fit is generally preferred for optimal control.
Can I wear these for general training or running?
While they offer good grip and support for indoor activities, they are optimized for the specific demands of futsal. For dedicated running or gym training, specialized footwear might offer better cushioning and support.
How does the ribbed upper improve performance?
The ribbed structure on the synthetic upper is inspired by the original Predator football boots. It is designed to enhance friction with the ball, providing better grip for dribbling, passing, and shooting with increased precision and control.
What is the main difference between the Sala and other Predator models?
The Predator Sala is specifically engineered for indoor futsal, featuring a non-marking outsole for court grip and an upper designed for ball control in tight spaces. Other Predator models might be designed for different surfaces (e.g., firm ground, artificial grass) or offer different features.
What is the purpose of the tongue tab?
The tongue tab is part of the lacing system and helps to create a cleaner, more uniform striking surface on the shoe. This can contribute to more accurate ball contact when shooting or passing.
Troubleshooting
Traction is poor on court
Ensure the court surface is clean and dry. Clean the outsole of the trainers with a damp cloth to remove any accumulated dust or debris that might be reducing grip.
Shoes feel tight or uncomfortable
The synthetic upper may require a break-in period. Wear the shoes for short periods initially and gradually increase duration. Ensure laces are adjusted correctly without over-tightening.
Synthetic upper shows signs of wear
While durable, intensive use can cause wear. Avoid excessive scuffing against rough surfaces. Clean regularly to maintain material condition.
Outsole is leaving marks on the court
Verify that the outsole is indeed non-marking. If marks persist, it could be due to the specific court surface reacting with the rubber compound. Clean the outsole thoroughly.
