Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces adequately before putting on the boots. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back. Pull the tongue upwards to sit flat against your instep.
- Tightening: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom (closest to your toes) upwards. Ensure a snug fit across the midfoot without being overly constrictive, allowing for natural foot movement. Secure with a double knot to prevent unraveling during play.
- Break-in: New boots may feel stiff initially. Wear them for short periods during training sessions or warm-ups to gradually break them in, allowing the materials to adapt to your foot shape for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are best suited for natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp. Using them on other surfaces such as Artificial Ground (AG), Soft Ground (SG), or indoor courts can lead to premature wear of the studs, reduced performance, and potentially increase the risk of injury. Ensure the pitch conditions match the boot's intended use.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your adidas Predator 24 Pro boots:
- Cleaning after use: Immediately after each use, remove loose dirt and grass from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or cloth. For stubborn mud, a damp cloth can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. Consider using a boot bag for protection during transport.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots overnight to absorb moisture and neutralize smells.
