FAQs

How do I clean my Berghaus Cornice III jacket?

Machine wash at a temperature indicated on the care label, using a technical cleaner. Avoid fabric softeners and tumble dry on low or hang to dry.

What is the InterActive system?

It is a zip system that allows you to attach a Berghaus fleece to the inside of the jacket, creating a layered system.

Is the jacket suitable for winter use?

Yes, but you may need to layer it with a fleece or other warm garments for colder conditions.

What kind of activities is this jacket suitable for?

Walking, hiking, commuting, and other outdoor activities where weather protection is needed.

Can I use a regular detergent to wash this jacket?

No, use a non-detergent or technical cleaner designed for waterproof garments.

How do I maintain the water resistance?

Re-apply a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment as needed, following the manufacturer's instructions.

What if the zip gets stuck?

Gently try to free the fabric or material caught in the zipper. Do not force it. If that doesn't work, consider getting the zipper repaired.

Does the jacket come with a warranty?

Warranty details depend on where you purchased the product. Check your purchase information for warranty details.

Troubleshooting

Water is penetrating the jacket.

Ensure the jacket is properly zipped up. Re-apply DWR treatment. Check for any damage or tears.

The hood doesn't stay in place.

Adjust the hood toggles to tighten the fit around your face.

The InterActive zip is difficult to use.

Ensure the fleece is properly aligned with the zip before zipping it in. Check for any obstructions.

The jacket feels clammy during activity.

Ensure you have the right layers for the activity and the conditions, and avoid overheating. Open the pit zips if your jacket has them.
