FAQs

Are these sandals suitable for wide feet?

The Maggies sandals feature a standard fit; users with wider feet may find them snug due to the structured leather cuff.

How do I ensure the correct size?

These sandals follow standard UK adult sizing; it is recommended to buy your usual size, as leather often softens and gives slightly with wear.

Can I wear these in the rain?

It is advised to avoid wearing leather sandals in wet conditions to prevent staining and damage to the material.

Does the ankle cuff rub against the skin?

The inner lining is designed for comfort, but if you have sensitive skin, breaking them in by wearing them for short periods around the home is recommended.

What is the primary material of the sandal?

The Maggies sandals are crafted from high-quality leather.

Is the heel height comfortable for walking?

Yes, the low platform design is specifically chosen to provide a balance of comfort and style.

Troubleshooting

Back zip feels stiff or difficult to close

Ensure the zip teeth are free of debris and try running a graphite pencil tip along the teeth to act as a dry lubricant.

Material shows minor scuffs

Use a leather conditioner matching the gold tone or a professional leather touch-up kit to buff out light surface marks.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Secure ankle cuff provides additional support
Back zip makes them easy to wear
Versatile design suits both evening and smart-casual attire
Low platform provides height without sacrificing stability

Cons

Leather requires regular protection from moisture
Metallic finish may be sensitive to abrasive surfaces
Limited to specific sizing options within the Maggies series

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because these sandals feature a leather upper and a delicate metallic finish, proper maintenance is essential. Always store your shoes in a cool, dry place and use a shoe tree or tissue paper to maintain their shape when not in use. To clean, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that could damage the gold finish or the animal print pattern. Before your first wear, applying a leather-appropriate protective spray can help guard the material against minor scuffs and water spots.
