Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your UltraBoost 1.0 shoes, simply unbox them and try them on. Ensure you have adequate space around your toes and that your heel feels secure without excessive slipping. Experiment with different lacing techniques to achieve a snug, comfortable fit that doesn't pinch or feel too loose. Many runners prefer a heel-lock lacing method for added security.
Compatibility
These shoes are highly compatible with various activities and environments:
- Surfaces: Optimized for road running, track, and gym workouts. The non-slip outsole provides reliable grip on asphalt, concrete, and indoor surfaces.
- Activities: Excellent for running, walking, casual wear, and light gym training. Not recommended for highly specialized sports requiring specific footwear (e.g., trail running, basketball).
- Apparel: Their versatile 'Black / White' color scheme complements a wide range of athletic and casual clothing.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your UltraBoost 1.0 shoes:
- Cleaning: For general dirt, gently wipe the upper and outsole with a soft, damp cloth using mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals. For specific stains, use a shoe cleaner formulated for athletic footwear. Due to some variants featuring leather, avoid submerging the shoes in water or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can cause materials to shrink or crack.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles periodically to air out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or baking soda sprinkled inside overnight (then removed) to absorb odors.
