Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires a drill, appropriate wall anchors suited to your substrate (e.g., masonry or steel studs), and a spirit level to ensure alignment. The galvanized steel is low-maintenance, but you should periodically inspect the mounting bolts to ensure no loosening has occurred due to cyclical stress or door operation. If the arms are installed in high-humidity or coastal areas, wiping them down with a light oil or checking for any scratches in the galvanization can further prolong their lifespan. Ensure that the load is centered along the arm whenever possible to prevent twisting or deflection.
