FAQs

What occasions is this dress most suitable for?

This dress is ideal for formal daytime events such as summer weddings, garden parties, christenings, and upscale luncheons. It can also be styled for evening occasions.

What material is the dress made from?

The dress is crafted from viscose satin crepe, which provides a smooth, subtly lustrous finish and elegant drape.

How should I care for this dress?

It is recommended to dry clean the dress to maintain its fabric quality and sheen. Avoid machine washing. Use a cool iron on the reverse side or steam if needed.

How does the ruched waist detail affect the fit?

The ruched gathering at the waist is designed to cinch and sculpt the center, creating a defined and flattering silhouette.

Is the thigh-high split adjustable?

The split is a design feature providing ease of movement. For alterations to the split's height or placement, professional tailoring would be required.

What footwear is recommended with this dress?

Metallic strappy heeled sandals are recommended to maintain a refined and polished look. Other elegant heels would also complement the dress.

Troubleshooting

Dress appears creased after storage.

Gently steam the dress on a cool setting or iron on the reverse side with a cool iron. Hang immediately after to prevent re-creasing.

Fabric feels stiff or loses its sheen.

This can sometimes occur with improper cleaning. Ensure only dry cleaning is used and avoid harsh chemicals or excessive heat.

The thigh-high split is not sitting correctly.

Ensure the dress is fitting correctly at the waist and hips. Slight adjustments to how the fabric drapes may be needed. Consider professional tailoring for a permanent alteration if necessary.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This is a ready-to-wear garment, so 'setup' primarily involves styling and ensuring proper fit.

Care Instructions:

Material: Viscose Satin Crepe.
Cleaning: Due to the delicate nature of satin, it is recommended to dry clean this dress to maintain its fabric integrity and sheen. Avoid machine washing or harsh detergents.
Ironing: If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron setting and iron on the reverse side of the fabric. Alternatively, steaming is a gentler option for removing wrinkles.
Storage: Store the dress on a padded hanger to prevent stretching or creasing. Keep in a garment bag to protect from dust and light.
