Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
When you first receive your Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Club MG boots, it's important to properly lace them to ensure a secure and comfortable fit. Start by loosening all the laces from top to bottom, then insert your foot, ensuring your heel is firmly seated. Begin tightening the laces from the bottom eyelets upwards, pulling snugly but not uncomfortably tight. Double-knot the laces to prevent them from coming undone during play. It's recommended to wear them for a short period during practice or light activity to break them in before a full match.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Multi-Ground (MG) sole plate, making them compatible with:
- Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches: Standard natural grass fields.
- Artificial Grass (AG) pitches: Modern synthetic turf surfaces.
They are not recommended for:
- Soft Ground (SG) pitches: Very muddy or wet natural grass fields (which require longer, often metal studs).
- Indoor (IC) or Futsal courts: Surfaces that require flat, non-marking soles.
- Street or Hard Court surfaces: These can prematurely wear down the sole and upper material.
Choosing the correct surface ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your boots.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the performance and longevity of your Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Club MG boots:
- Cleaning after use: After each session, use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dirt, mud, and grass from the upper and sole plate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers), as this can damage the synthetic leather and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never put your football boots in a washing machine, as this can severely damage them.
