FAQs
Are these shoes waterproof?
This specific model features standard performance materials; please check individual product labels if a 'Waterproof' designation is required.
Can these be used for school sports?
Yes, they provide great support for outdoor sports, though they are optimized for trail and off-road surfaces.
How do I know which size to pick?
Salomon sizes are based on UK children's sizing; we recommend measuring the child's foot and comparing it against standard sizing charts.
Can the laces be replaced?
The Quicklace system is specialized, but replacements can be sourced if they become damaged over long-term use.
Are they suitable for wider feet?
The Sensifit system is quite adaptable, but the shoe has an athletic, streamlined profile that works best for standard foot widths.
Troubleshooting
Quicklace feels too tight or too loose
Hold the base of the lace near the eyelets while sliding the plastic toggle to adjust the tension evenly across the foot.
Excessive dirt build-up in the sole
Use a stiff-bristled brush to clear debris from between the Contagrip lugs to restore traction.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Salomon Speedcross trainers, proper maintenance is essential.
- Setup: Adjust the Quicklace toggle until the desired tension is achieved. Ensure the lace is tucked into the designated lace pocket to prevent snagging on branches.
- Cleaning: After muddy adventures, allow the mud to dry, then brush it off the outsole. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can compromise the foam cushioning.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the materials and vibrant colors.
