Product Information
Full details
This Fine Decor Striped wallpaper in Cream is designed for homeowners seeking to add natural warmth and modern texture to their living spaces. Its key benefit is creating the sophisticated look of contemporary wooden slats without the complexity or cost of real timber. A potential caveat is the need to order sufficient rolls at once, as batch numbers cannot be guaranteed for subsequent purchases. The wallpaper features vertical oak-inspired panels, subtle wood grain detailing, and soft beige oak tones, ideal for creating a structured yet organic aesthetic. It is paste-the-wall, strippable, scrubbable, and offers good light fastness.

FAQs
What is a 'Free Match' pattern?
A 'Free Match' means that strips of wallpaper can be joined together without needing to align a specific part of the pattern. This generally makes application easier and results in less waste.
Can I use this wallpaper in a bathroom?
While the wallpaper is scrubbable, it's not specifically designed for high-moisture environments like bathrooms. For best results and longevity, it is recommended for standard interior walls in living rooms, bedrooms, or hallways.
How do I clean the wallpaper?
The wallpaper is scrubbable, meaning you can use a slightly damp cloth or sponge to gently wipe away minor marks. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaning tools.
What does 'Paste The Wall' mean?
'Paste The Wall' refers to the application method where the wallpaper adhesive is applied directly to the wall surface, rather than to the back of the wallpaper strip. This is often considered a quicker and cleaner method.
How do I know how many rolls to order?
Each roll covers approximately 5.25 square meters. Measure the total area of your walls (width x height) and divide by 5.25. Always round up to the nearest whole roll and consider any pattern matching or wastage. It is crucial to order all rolls needed for the job from the same batch number.
What is 'Good Light Fastness'?
'Good Light Fastness' indicates that the wallpaper is designed to resist fading when exposed to natural light over time, helping to maintain its original color.
Is this wallpaper removable?
Yes, the product description states it is 'Strippable' and 'Peelable', meaning it can be removed from the wall relatively easily when you wish to redecorate.
Troubleshooting
Bubbles or wrinkles appear after hanging.
Ensure the wall is smooth and paste is applied evenly. Use a wallpaper brush or smoother to firmly press out air bubbles immediately after hanging. If bubbles persist, they may need to be pricked with a fine needle and the area gently smoothed.
Pattern doesn't align correctly.
Although this is a 'Free Match', slight adjustments can be made during application. Ensure you are hanging strips plumb (vertically straight) using a spirit level. Re-check paste application for evenness.
Wallpaper is difficult to cut.
Use a sharp, fresh blade in your utility knife. Make sure the wallpaper is firmly against the wall while cutting. A metal straight edge can help guide the cut.
Color variation between rolls.
This is due to different batch numbers. Always check that all rolls have the same batch number before starting. If you discover a significant color difference, contact the retailer immediately, do not hang the paper.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any old wallpaper, paint, or loose debris.
- Use the recommended wallpaper paste for 'paste the wall' products.
- Apply the paste directly to the wall, not the paper.
- Hang the wallpaper strips, aligning the pattern as you go. Since it's a free match, precise alignment is less critical but still important for a seamless look.
- Smooth out air bubbles with a wallpaper brush or smoother, working from the center outwards.
- Trim excess wallpaper at the ceiling and skirting board with a sharp knife.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is suitable for most interior walls that are properly prepared. It is compatible with standard wallpaper adhesives designed for non-woven (paste-the-wall) papers. It is not recommended for use in very humid environments like bathrooms or shower rooms unless specifically stated by the manufacturer for such applications.
Care:
- Scrubbable: Minor marks and smudges can be gently cleaned using a damp cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Strippable: When it's time for redecoration, the wallpaper should peel off cleanly from the wall, ideally leaving a sound surface beneath.
