Product Information
Full details
Dulux Trade Diamond Matt is a professional-grade emulsion specifically formulated for high-traffic environments such as hallways, kitchens, and family areas. It is ideal for homeowners seeking a sophisticated, smooth matt finish that can handle the rigors of daily life without losing its integrity. The primary benefit is its exceptional scrub resistance, which allows for regular cleaning without the appearance of unsightly shiny patches; however, users should be aware that because these shades are mixed to order, color consistency must be verified before full application.

FAQs
Is this paint suitable for bathrooms?
While it is durable, Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell or specialized moisture-resistant paints are generally recommended for rooms with high steam content.
Can I use this on ceilings?
Yes, its matt finish is excellent for ceilings, especially in rooms where you want a consistent finish across walls and ceiling.
How long does it take to dry?
Touch dry usually occurs within 1-2 hours, with a recoat time of approximately 4-6 hours depending on room temperature and humidity.
Do I need a primer?
If the surface is sound and previously painted, a primer is often not required. New or bare plaster should always be sealed with a mist coat.
How do I clean scuffs off the wall?
Use a soft, damp cloth with a little mild soapy water. Gently wipe the affected area and allow it to air dry.
Can I order a custom color?
Yes, this product is specifically designed to be mixed to order in a wide variety of shades.
Troubleshooting
Paint is showing brush or roller marks
Ensure you are using high-quality application tools and avoid overworking the paint once it begins to tack up.
Poor coverage on first coat
Check that the surface was properly primed, especially if painting over a dark color or highly porous substrate.
Paint finish appears uneven
Ensure thorough mixing before application, as settling can occur during storage, affecting the matt finish consistency.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal performance, follow these steps:
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose or flaking material. If the surface is porous, apply a suitable primer first.
- Application: Use a high-quality brush or roller. Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure the pigment is evenly distributed.
- Application Conditions: Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity.
- Maintenance: While the paint is scrubbable, always use a soft cloth or sponge and avoid abrasive scouring pads that could physically scratch the paint film.
- Touch-ups: Because the product is mixed to order, always retain a small amount of the original batch for future touch-ups to ensure a perfect color match.
