The Skechers Glide Step trainers are designed for active kids who need reliable, everyday footwear that balances comfort with a sleek aesthetic. Featuring signature Glide Step sole technology, these shoes provide a smooth and cushioned stride ideal for school or play. While the lightweight design is excellent for all-day wear, the dark black colourway requires consistent cleaning to maintain its sharp look in dusty environments.

While the materials are durable, we recommend hand-cleaning with a damp cloth to protect the integrity of the Glide Step sole technology.
The Skechers Glide Step series generally offers a standard width. We recommend measuring the foot accurately against the UK size guide provided.
These are designed for everyday casual wear and light activities. They are not specifically engineered for high-impact sports like professional running or field athletics.
Yes, the internal design and the Glide Step sole geometry provide balanced cushioning that supports the foot through the natural gait cycle.
Replacement frequency depends on the child's rate of growth and activity level; typically, check for wear in the tread and signs that the shoe is becoming too tight every 3 to 6 months.
Clean the outsoles to remove dust or debris, which can accumulate and reduce grip.
Ensure laces or closures are properly secured and consider if the child requires a slightly thicker sock for a snugger fit.
These trainers are designed for immediate use out of the box. To ensure longevity, we recommend a few simple care habits. If the shoes become dirty, gently wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid soaking the materials, as this can affect the cushioning properties of the sole. When storing, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, which can warp the synthetic materials over time. Periodically check the outsole tread for embedded stones or debris to maintain optimal grip.
