No, these are designed as casual trainers for everyday movement and walking, not for high-impact athletic running.
Your foot should feel secure but not constricted, with about a thumb's width of space at the front of the shoe.
No, the breathable mesh lining is integrated into the construction of the shoe for comfort and support.
Use a soft brush and a mixture of water and mild dish soap to scrub away debris from the rubber tread.
While leather provides some natural resistance, these are not waterproof and should be treated with a leather protectant spray if you live in a wet climate.
Use a shoe tree when not wearing the trainers to help maintain the shape and reduce permanent creasing.
Ensure you are using a double knot or a secure reef knot, as leather-style laces can sometimes be smoother than synthetic versions.
Use a soft-bristled brush or damp microfiber cloth immediately after exposure to dirt to prevent it from setting into the leather grain.
When you first receive your Clarks Code C Lace Trainers, ensure the laces are adjusted to accommodate your foot volume without being overly tight. To maintain the leather upper, wipe down the shoes after each use with a dry cloth to remove loose dust. For the white leather finish, use a dedicated leather cleaner or a damp cloth with mild soap for light stains; avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh chemicals that could degrade the material. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the leather from cracking or discolouring.
