Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure maximum comfort and longevity from your Hotter Tourist II Sandals, follow these guidelines.
Initial Setup
- Unbuckle Straps: Fully open the rounded square buckle straps on both sandals.
- Slide Foot In: Gently slide your foot into the sandal, ensuring your heel sits comfortably in the back and your toes are not cramped at the front.
- Adjust Straps: Begin by adjusting the strap closest to your ankle, then the one closer to your toes. Pull each strap until it feels secure yet comfortable, allowing a slight wiggle but no excessive movement. The elasticated nature of the straps provides flexibility.
- Fasten Buckles: Securely fasten both buckles. Walk a few steps to check the fit and make any final adjustments. The goal is a snug, supportive feel that doesn't pinch or slide.
Compatibility
- Wide Fitting: These sandals are designed with a generous wide fitting, making them ideal for individuals who require extra room for comfort, or for those whose feet tend to swell during warmer weather.
- Outfit Versatility: The classic brown leather and cork sole design makes these sandals highly compatible with a wide range of summer attire, from casual shorts and skirts to light dresses and linen trousers.
Product Care
Proper care will help maintain the quality and appearance of your sandals.
- Leather Upper: Gently wipe clean with a damp cloth to remove dirt. For deeper cleaning or conditioning, use a specialized leather cleaner and conditioner suitable for footwear. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water, which can damage the leather.
- Textile Lining: The soft textile lining can be gently wiped with a slightly damp cloth if needed. Allow to air dry completely.
- Cork Sole: Keep the cork sole dry. If it gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally away from direct heat. Avoid submerging the sandals in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the cork.
- Rubber Sole: The durable rubber sole can be cleaned with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt and debris. This also helps maintain traction.
- Storage: When not in use, store your sandals in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation. Keep them away from excessive humidity.
- General: Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, cold, or moisture to preserve the integrity of all materials.
