Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
Replacing your Levoit Core 300RFPA filter is a simple process:
- Unplug your Levoit Core 300 Air Purifier from the power outlet.
- Turn the air purifier upside down and twist the bottom cover counter-clockwise to unlock it.
- Remove the old filter by pulling it upwards.
- Unwrap the new Levoit Core 300RFPA filter from its protective plastic packaging. This step is critical; do not operate the purifier with the plastic on the filter.
- Insert the new filter into the air purifier, ensuring it sits securely.
- Replace the bottom cover and twist it clockwise to lock it firmly in place.
- Plug the air purifier back in and turn it on. Most Levoit Core 300 models require you to reset the filter indicator by pressing and holding the filter indicator button (often the power button) for 3-5 seconds until the light turns off.
Compatibility
This Levoit Core 300RFPA replacement filter is exclusively compatible with the Levoit Core 300 Air Purifier model. It is not designed to fit or function effectively with any other Levoit air purifier models or other brands.
Care & Maintenance
- Do Not Wash: The filter is not washable. Washing the True HEPA or activated carbon layers will destroy their filtration capabilities and can damage your air purifier.
- Regular Replacement: For optimal performance and air quality, replace the filter every 6-8 months. This timeframe can vary depending on air quality, usage frequency, and the presence of pets or smokers in your environment. Your Levoit Core 300 Air Purifier will typically alert you when a replacement is needed via a filter indicator light.
- No Cleaning Required: The pre-filter is designed to capture larger particles to extend the life of the internal filters and does not require cleaning. Attempting to clean the filter can compromise its structure and effectiveness.
