Product Information

Full details

The Trespass Oskar Men's Padded Jacket is designed for adult males seeking reliable protection from the elements during outdoor activities. Its key benefit lies in its water and wind-resistant properties, keeping you comfortable and dry. A potential caveat is that while water-resistant, it may not be fully waterproof for prolonged heavy downpours. This jacket features a padded design for warmth, a grown-on hood for extra coverage, and practical pockets for essential items.

FAQs

Is this jacket fully waterproof?

The Trespass Oskar Jacket is water-resistant, meaning it can handle light rain and moisture. For prolonged exposure to heavy rain, a fully waterproof jacket would be more suitable.

What temperature range is this jacket suitable for?

The padded design offers warmth suitable for cool to moderately cold conditions, generally around 5°C to 15°C, depending on personal tolerance and layering.

How do I clean the jacket?

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not iron.

Can I detach the hood?

No, the hood is 'grown on', meaning it is permanently attached to the jacket.

What are the washing instructions?

Wash at 30°C with similar colors, using a gentle cycle. Do not bleach or tumble dry on high heat. Do not iron.

Does the jacket have many pockets?

The jacket features two practical pockets, suitable for everyday essentials.

What is the warranty period for this jacket?

Warranty information is typically provided by the retailer at the point of sale. Please check your purchase receipt or contact the retailer for specific warranty details.

Troubleshooting

Jacket is no longer repelling water effectively.

The water-resistant treatment may have worn off. Clean the jacket according to care instructions and then apply a suitable re-proofer spray or wash-in treatment.

Zipper is stiff or difficult to move.

Gently try to move the zipper up and down. If it's still stiff, apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil lead) or a silicone-based lubricant to the zipper teeth.

Pilling or minor damage to the fabric.

For minor pilling, a fabric shaver can be used. For small tears, consider using a fabric repair kit or patch suitable for outdoor wear.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Effective water and wind resistance for moderate weather protection.
Warm padded design suitable for cooler temperatures.
Integrated hood offers additional coverage.
Practical features like elasticated cuffs and pockets enhance usability.
Durable construction for outdoor activities.

Cons

May not be sufficient for extreme cold or prolonged heavy rain.
Limited number of pockets compared to some outdoor jackets.
Style may be more functional than fashion-forward.
The 'grown-on' hood may not offer the same adjustability as a detachable hood.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

The Trespass Oskar Jacket requires no setup; it is ready to wear straight out of the packaging. It is designed for general male apparel sizing.

Care Instructions:

Washing: Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the water-resistant treatment.
Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting or hang to dry. Do not iron.
Re-proofing: To maintain water-resistance over time, consider using a spray-on or wash-in re-proofer specifically designed for outdoor wear, following the product's instructions.
