Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tied securely but not too tightly, allowing for comfortable movement while providing support. Experiment with different lacing patterns if needed to achieve an optimal fit.
- Initial Wear: Break in the boots gradually during a few lighter training sessions before competitive matches to adapt to their fit and feel. This helps prevent discomfort and blisters.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are ideal for use on natural grass fields that are typically dry and offer a solid playing surface. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very soft/muddy ground (SG) may impact performance, durability, and can potentially cause injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or cloth. For stubborn dirt, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Stuff with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Consider using a boot bag to protect them during transport and keep them free from debris.
