While the materials are durable, hand washing with mild soap and water is recommended to preserve the shape and adhesive integrity.
Yes, they are stylish and comfortable for casual land use, though they perform best on flat, smooth surfaces.
They feature an ergonomic, cushioned midsole designed for all-day comfort, providing moderate support for casual wear.
They are designed as a lightweight, flexible sailing shoe, not as heavy-duty protective footwear.
The Ahiga line follows standard UK sizing; since it is a slip-on, ensure the heel does not slip excessively when walking.
Clean the outsole with a soft brush and fresh water to remove built-up debris and salt crusts.
Ensure the shoes are not being dried in direct sunlight, which can harden the synthetic textiles.
Remove the insole if possible and wash separately with a mild detergent; allow the shoe to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
These shoes require no "setup" beyond finding the correct fit. As a slip-on model, ensure you have the proper UK size for a snug but comfortable feel. To maintain the life of your Ahiga shoes, rinse them with fresh water after exposure to saltwater to prevent salt crystallization in the fabric. If they become heavily soiled, wash them gently by hand with mild soap and air dry them away from direct heat sources to preserve the integrity of the breathable textile and the rubber outsole.
