This can be due to sweat buildup. Ensure socks are moisture-wicking. Allow shoes to air out thoroughly after use. Check that the GORE-TEX® membrane is not compromised by extreme wear or damage.

Clean the outsole tread of mud and debris, as this can impede grip. Ensure the shoe has not been exposed to oils or solvents that can degrade the rubber. The outsole may show signs of wear after extensive use.
