FAQs
Are these gloves suitable for very cold, freezing temperatures?
These gloves are designed for wind protection, making them ideal for cool to moderately cold conditions. For extreme sub-zero temperatures, consider gloves with added insulation.
How do I determine the right size?
Refer to the Fox Racing sizing chart, typically found on their official website or retailer pages. Measure your hand circumference to find the best fit.
Can I use these gloves with my smartphone?
The Defend Wind Gloves do not feature specific touch-screen compatibility. You may need to remove a glove to use a smartphone.
What is the main difference between these and the Dirtpaw gloves?
The Defend Wind gloves are specifically designed with wind-resistant material for protection against the elements, while the Dirtpaw line often focuses on general grip and durability without the specialized wind barrier.
How durable are the graphics and color?
Fox Racing uses quality printing methods, but like all apparel, prolonged sun exposure and harsh washing can affect color vibrancy over time. Follow care instructions for best results.
Can these gloves be used for cycling in the rain?
While they offer wind resistance, they are not designed to be fully waterproof. They can handle light moisture but may not keep hands dry in heavy or prolonged rain.
Troubleshooting
Gloves feel too tight or restrictive
Ensure you have selected the correct size. If the gloves are new, they may require a short break-in period. Avoid washing or drying with high heat.
Reduced grip after riding in wet conditions
Allow gloves to air dry completely. Avoid using high heat. For stubborn grip issues, check for any residue and clean as per care instructions.
Wind protection seems inadequate
Verify that all closures (if any) are secured properly. Ensure the gloves are the correct size and not excessively loose, which could allow drafts.
