Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Upon receiving the TREK FX+ 7, basic setup typically involves attaching the pedals, handlebars, and front wheel. Ensure all bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications. The battery should be fully charged before the first ride. It is recommended to have a professional bike mechanic perform a final inspection and tune-up for optimal performance and safety.
Compatibility: The bike uses standard bicycle components, making it compatible with most aftermarket accessories such as locks, water bottle cages, and pannier racks (ensure racks are compatible with the frame design). Tire pressure should be maintained according to the sidewall recommendations.
Care: Keep the bike clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water jets directly on the motor or electrical components. Regularly check tire pressure, brake pad wear, and chain lubrication. The battery should be stored in a cool, dry place and charged regularly, even when not in use, to maintain its lifespan. Consult the owner's manual for specific maintenance intervals for the drivetrain and motor.
