The Specialized 2FO Roost is a versatile, unisex hybrid shoe designed for adult mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts who need a reliable transition from high-performance cycling to casual off-bike hiking. Featuring a durable leather construction and advanced grip technology, these shoes provide excellent pedal connection and all-day comfort; however, the relaxed fit may feel too voluminous for riders who prefer a snug, race-focused cycling shoe.

No, the 2FO Roost is designed exclusively for flat pedals.
Yes, the shoe features an EVA midsole and grippy rubber sole that makes it well-suited for light to moderate hiking.
The leather upper provides good protection against splashes, but they are not fully waterproof or submersible.
The 2FO Roost is offered in a standard, relaxed fit that accommodates most foot shapes.
These shoes follow standard UK sizing. We recommend using the brand's official sizing chart or trying them on with the socks you typically wear for cycling.
Yes, the insoles are removable for cleaning or to allow for the insertion of custom orthotics.
Ensure your pedal pins are clean and not excessively worn. Check that no mud has packed into the tread of the shoe.
Ensure the shoe is laced snugly. If the issue persists, consider replacing the stock footbed with a different arch-height Body Geometry insole to better match your foot anatomy.
Apply a dedicated leather conditioner periodically to keep the upper supple and water-resistant.
To get the most out of your 2FO Roost shoes, ensure they are laced securely to maintain the intended support structure provided by the Body Geometry design. These shoes are specifically optimized for flat pedals; they are not compatible with SPD or other clipless pedal cleats.
For care, clean off mud and trail debris with a soft brush after each ride. Since the exterior is made of leather, avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat sources when drying, as this can crack or stiffen the material. If the shoes become soaked, remove the insoles and stuff the interiors with paper to draw out moisture naturally in a well-ventilated area.
