Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
These woodscrews are designed for direct use with standard power tools or manual screwdrivers. Ensure you are using a driver bit that matches the screw head type (typically Phillips or Pozidriv) to prevent stripping. Pre-drilling pilot holes may be beneficial in hardwoods or when driving screws near the edge of timber to prevent splitting, though the design often allows for direct drive in softer woods.
Compatibility:
The Vortex High-Performance Woodscrews CE are primarily intended for use with wood materials. They are compatible with most common types of timber, plywood, and composite wood products. Ensure the screw length (50mm) is appropriate for the thickness of the materials you are joining.
Care:
Store the screws in their original tub in a dry environment to prevent corrosion, especially given their CE marking indicating compliance with relevant standards. Avoid storing them in damp or humid conditions. Keep the tub closed when not in use to prevent spills and contamination.
