This guide is for parents and guardians looking for a durable, waterproof, and warm jacket for children aged roughly 10 years old. The Antora Rain Jacket offers excellent protection against rain and moderate cold thanks to its DryVent™ technology and Heatseeker™ Eco insulation, with the added benefit of being made from recycled materials. A potential caveat is that The North Face recommends sizing up to ensure the best fit and longevity of use.

The Antora Rain Jacket is designed for waterproof protection and moderate warmth with its insulation and fleece lining. For extremely cold or snowy conditions, layering with additional insulating garments underneath may be necessary, or a heavier winter-specific jacket might be more appropriate.
The North Face recommends sizing up to maximize the longevity of the product. It is crucial to consult the specific Children & Youth size chart provided by The North Face for accurate measurements and fit.
No, the Heatseeker™ Eco insulation is permanently integrated into the sleeves and lower body of the jacket and cannot be removed.
This refers to a Durable Water-Repellent finish that does not use perfluorinated compounds (PFCs). This is an environmentally friendlier alternative to traditional DWR treatments.
The main shell, hood and upper body lining, and the insulation in the sleeves and lower body are made with recycled materials. The specific percentages are listed in the product details.
Follow the machine wash cold with like colors instructions. Use powdered detergent and rinse thoroughly. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach. Tumble dry on low heat.
Yes, the DryVent™ 2L technology is specifically designed to be waterproof and seam-sealed, providing excellent protection even in heavy rain.
The Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) finish may have worn off. Reapply a DWR treatment suitable for outdoor gear after washing and drying according to care instructions.
Ensure there is no fabric caught in the zipper. Gently try to move the zipper up and down. Applying a small amount of wax or graphite (like from a pencil) to the zipper teeth can help lubricate it.
Avoid using fabric softener, as it can impact the softness and performance of fleece. Follow the recommended wash and dry cycles. A low tumble dry can help restore fluffiness.
Avoid excessive heat during drying or ironing. If the peeling is minor, it might not affect the functionality significantly. For significant damage, contact customer support.
Setup: The Antora Rain Jacket requires no setup; it is ready to wear out of the package. Ensure the zippers are fully closed before use.
Compatibility: This jacket is designed for children and youth. The North Face recommends sizing up from the standard size chart to allow for growth and layering. For specific measurements, please refer to The North Face size chart for children's apparel.
