Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Gently remove the curtains from their packaging. Lay them flat or hang them loosely to allow any creases from packaging to relax.
- Choose Your Rod: Ensure you have a suitable curtain rod. Eyelet curtains work best with a standard curtain pole that allows the eyelets to slide freely. The rod diameter should be smaller than the eyelet diameter.
- Thread onto Rod: Thread the curtain eyelets onto the curtain rod, alternating the direction of the fabric folds to create an even, pleated effect.
- Hang: Mount the curtain rod securely above your window, following your rod manufacturer's instructions.
Compatibility
These curtains are highly compatible with modern and neutral decor schemes due to their subdued earthy brown tone and elegant design. They require a curtain pole (rod) for hanging. Their 100% polyester composition offers durability. They are available in a variety of other color families including Grey, Blue, Green, and Beige, allowing for broader compatibility with different room aesthetics.
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial to maintain the opulent feel and appearance of your chenille curtains:
- Cleaning: Dry clean only. Do not machine wash, hand wash, or tumble dry, as this can damage the chenille velvet fabric and lining.
- Drying: If professionally cleaned, ensure they are line dried. Avoid direct sunlight which can cause fading.
- Ironing: The curtains can be ironed on a cool setting. Use a pressing cloth or iron on the reverse side to protect the chenille pile. Avoid high heat which could flatten the pile or damage the polyester fibers.
