Full details

The Arcteryx Kragg SL Cotton Bird Word Shirt is a premium technical tee engineered for adult outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize comfort during climbing, bouldering, and trail activities. Constructed from high-quality SUPIMA cotton jersey, it offers exceptional breathability and a soft feel, though users should note that as a natural fiber garment, it is best suited for dry weather rather than high-exertion aerobic activities that require rapid synthetic moisture-wicking.

FAQs

Is this shirt moisture-wicking?

While the SUPIMA cotton is naturally breathable and comfortable, it is not a technical synthetic moisture-wicking fabric and will hold more moisture during high-intensity exertion.

What is the weight of the shirt?

The Kragg SL Cotton Bird Word Shirt weighs 171g.

Does the fit run large or small?

It is designed with a standard Regular fit, so it should align with your usual size in Arcteryx men's apparel.

Can I wear this under a harness?

Yes, the articulated fit and regular cut make it comfortable for wearing under a climbing harness.

Is the material strictly cotton?

It is crafted from premium SUPIMA cotton jersey.

How should I wash this shirt?

We recommend washing in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang drying to maximize the lifespan of the garment.

Troubleshooting

Visible wrinkles upon taking out of storage

Hang the garment in a bathroom while showering to allow steam to relax the cotton fibers.

Minor pilling after repeated use

Use a fabric shaver gently on the affected areas to restore the smooth surface of the SUPIMA cotton.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Exceptionally soft against the skin due to SUPIMA cotton
Freedom of movement provided by articulated fit
Seamless construction prevents pack-strap irritation
Versatile for both mountain use and casual daily wear

Cons

Natural cotton fiber takes longer to dry than synthetic alternatives
Not intended for high-intensity cardio in wet conditions
Regular fit may be looser than dedicated compression base layers

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because this is a standard technical tee, there is no assembly required. It is designed with a Regular fit, meaning it aligns with standard sizing standards for adult male apparel. To maintain the integrity of the SUPIMA cotton fibers: wash in cold water using a gentle cycle, use mild detergents, and hang dry whenever possible to avoid high heat shrinkage and preserve the integrity of the graphic prints.
