Setup, Compatibility & Care
As a technical racing shoe, the Vaporfly 3 requires no complex setup but does benefit from a 'break-in' period to get accustomed to the aggressive foam and plate geometry. Ensure you have the correct size, as the performance fit is intended to be snug.
For maintenance:
- Cleaning: Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can damage the foam properties.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent premature aging of the foam.
- Replacement: Monitor the outsole for significant wear patterns, which typically occur every 200-400 miles depending on running style and surface conditions.
