Full details
The Veja V-90 Trainers are designed for adults seeking stylish and comfortable footwear for daily wear, offering a blend of sustainable materials and classic design. Their key benefit lies in the eco-conscious construction using traced leather, suede, and Amazonian rubber, providing a lightweight feel for urban adventures. FAQs
Are the Veja V-90 trainers suitable for running?
The V-90 trainers are designed for casual wear and light activity. They are not intended for high-impact sports like running, as they lack the specialized cushioning and support required for such activities.
How do I determine the correct size?
Refer to the Veja size chart available on the product page or official Veja website. It's recommended to measure your foot length and compare it with the provided guide. Many retailers also offer specific sizing advice for Veja footwear.
Can I wash the Veja V-90 trainers?
It is not recommended to machine wash the Veja V-90 trainers, especially due to the leather and suede components. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth for leather and a suede brush for suede is the preferred method.
What is the warranty period for Veja trainers?
Warranty information can vary by retailer. Typically, Veja products come with a standard manufacturer's warranty against defects. Check with the retailer where you purchased the shoes for specific warranty terms and duration.
How do I care for the suede parts of the trainers?
Use a soft suede brush regularly to remove dust and dirt. For stains, a suede eraser can be effective. For tougher stains or for overall rejuvenation, consider using a specialized suede cleaner, always testing on an inconspicuous area first.
Are these trainers waterproof?
The Veja V-90 trainers are made from leather, suede, and textile materials, which are not inherently waterproof. They offer some resistance to light moisture but are not designed for use in heavy rain or wet conditions.
What does 'traced leather' mean?
'Traced leather' refers to leather that has undergone a tanning process that is carefully controlled and monitored to ensure environmental responsibility. Veja prioritizes sourcing leather from farms in Brazil and Uruguay that adhere to specific animal welfare and environmental standards.
Troubleshooting
Tread wears down quickly
Ensure you are not using the trainers for excessive high-impact activities for which they are not designed. Clean the soles regularly to prevent debris buildup that can accelerate wear.
Leather creases excessively
Creasing is natural for leather. To minimize, ensure proper fit and avoid over-tightening laces. Use shoe trees when not in use to help maintain shape.
Suede appears matted or dirty
Use a dedicated suede brush to restore the nap. For stains, gently use a suede eraser or a specialized suede cleaning product, following product instructions carefully.
Discomfort during the first few wears
This is common with new leather shoes. Wear them for short periods initially and gradually increase wear time. Consider wearing thicker socks during the break-in period.
