Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely.
- Insert Foot: Gently slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is seated comfortably against the back.
- Tighten Laces: Starting from the bottom, progressively tighten the laces, ensuring an even pressure across your foot. The stretch collar will provide a snug feel.
- Knot: Tie a secure knot, ensuring the laces are neither too tight (causing discomfort) nor too loose (compromising stability).
- Break-In: Wear the boots for shorter periods during practice sessions to allow them to mold to your feet before competitive matches.
Compatibility:
These boots are designed for Firm Ground (FG) and Artificial Ground (AG) surfaces.
- Firm Ground: Natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp.
- Artificial Ground: Newer generation (3G/4G) artificial turf pitches.
*Avoid using on hard ground (HG), soft ground (SG), or indoor courts (IC) as this can damage the boots and increase the risk of injury.*
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and debris using a soft brush or damp cloth. For more stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft sponge.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or machine drying, as this can damage the materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
- Product Label: Always refer to the product label inside your boots for specific composition and care instructions from Puma.
