Full details

The Outwell Cozy Carpet Monterey 4 Air is designed for campers seeking enhanced comfort and warmth in their Monterey 4 Air tent's living area. Its primary benefit is transforming a basic groundsheet into a soft, insulating floor. A minor caveat is its specific compatibility, meaning it's best suited for the intended tent model. This carpet offers a wall-to-wall solution, featuring a soft polyester top, a durable base, and insulating filling, all while remaining lightweight and easy to pack.

FAQs

What is the exact size of the Outwell Cozy Carpet Monterey 4 Air?

The carpet measures 150 x 230 cm.

Can I use this carpet with other Outwell tents?

This carpet is specifically designed for the Outwell Monterey 4 Air tent to ensure a perfect wall-to-wall fit. While it might fit other tents of similar dimensions, compatibility is not guaranteed for optimal coverage.

How do I clean the carpet?

For general cleaning, use a damp cloth. For more significant dirt, you can gently wash it and ensure it is thoroughly dried before storage.

What material is the top layer made of?

The top layer is made of 50D 300T Pongee polyester, which provides a soft touch.

Is the carpet waterproof?

The carpet is designed for comfort and insulation, not as a waterproof layer. It should be placed on the tent's groundsheet, which provides the primary waterproofing.

How much does the carpet weigh?

The Outwell Cozy Carpet Monterey 4 Air weighs approximately 0.9 kg.

Does it come with a carry bag?

Yes, the carpet includes a dedicated carry bag for convenient storage and transport.

Troubleshooting

Carpet doesn't lay flat.

Ensure the tent floor is completely flat and free of obstructions. Allow the carpet to air out for a while as it may have been tightly packed.

Carpet feels cold.

While insulating, the carpet's effectiveness depends on ambient temperature and ground conditions. Ensure it's used with the tent's groundsheet. For maximum warmth, consider additional insulation if camping in very cold conditions.

Mildew or odor detected.

This indicates the carpet was stored damp. Air dry it completely in sunlight or a well-ventilated area until the odor is gone. Prevent future occurrences by always ensuring it's dry before packing.
