Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation:
Ensure all surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, and dry. New surfaces, in particular, must be completely dry. For previously painted surfaces, check for soundness and cleanliness. Refer to Dulux Trade Datasheet 411 for detailed preparation guidelines.
Application:
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. For sealing new or bare surfaces, dilute the first coat with water (up to 1 part water to 5 parts paint). For normal application, use undiluted or dilute slightly with water (up to 1 part water to 10 parts paint). For spray applications, specific dilution ratios apply: conventional spray (up to 1 part water to 2.5 parts paint) and airless spray (up to 1 part water to 5 parts paint).
Coats:
Apply one to two full coats for best results. One coat may suffice on previously painted surfaces in good condition where a similar colour is being applied.
Drying and Recoating:
Allow approximately 4 hours for drying, depending on temperature and humidity. Recoat after a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4 hours.
Tool Cleaning:
After use, remove as much paint as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning them with water.
Storage:
Store the paint in a cool, dry place, avoiding extremes of temperature and protecting it from frost.
