Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Cabrino loafers last for years, follow these maintenance tips:
- Breaking In: Wear them for short durations indoors initially to allow the leather to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dust. Apply a quality leather cream or polish in a matching brown shade periodically to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
- Storage: Always use cedar shoe trees when not in use; this helps the shoes maintain their structural shape and absorbs internal moisture.
- Weather Protection: Avoid wearing them in heavy rain. If they get wet, stuff them with newspaper and let them air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can make the leather brittle.
