Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last for years, start by adjusting the buckles so the strap sits snugly against your foot without digging in. If this is your first pair, wear them for short durations for the first few days to allow the cork-latex to mold to your unique foot shape. To care for the leather, use a soft cloth to wipe away dust; if the footbed becomes dirty, lightly scrub with a damp brush and mild soap, then allow to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators. Do not submerge your leather sandals in water as this can damage the material and the cork structure.
