FAQs

What is the main benefit of the V-TRAX™ carry system?

The V-TRAX™ carry system offers an easy hook-and-loop adjustment for a precise fit, ensuring optimal load transfer and comfort tailored to your back length.

How does the pack protect against rain?

The pack features a Hydrosheild coating on its main and secondary fabrics, along with an integrated pull-out rain cover for enhanced protection during downpours.

What types of items can be stored in the hip belt pockets?

The hip belt pockets are ideal for small, frequently accessed items such as snacks, a compass, a multi-tool, or lip balm.

Is this backpack suitable for winter hiking?

While it offers good weather protection, the 38L volume is generally best suited for moderate conditions. For extensive winter gear, a larger capacity pack might be more appropriate.

How do I clean my Exion 38L pack?

Clean the pack using a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh detergents and ensure the pack is thoroughly air-dried before storing.

What is the back length adjustment system?

The Exion 38L uses the V-TRAX™ system with hook-and-loop adjustments to allow you to set the correct back length for a customized fit. The pack accommodates back lengths between 19-21 inches (48-53cm).

Can I attach walking poles to the pack?

Yes, the pack includes dedicated attachment points for securing walking poles when not in use.

Troubleshooting

Pack feels unstable or shifts during movement.

Re-adjust the V-TRAX™ system for a precise fit. Ensure the hip belt is positioned correctly on your hips and tightened securely using the forward-pull mechanism. Check shoulder strap and sternum strap adjustments.

Water seeps through fabric during heavy rain.

Ensure the integrated rain cover is deployed. For prolonged exposure to heavy rain, consider using additional dry bags for sensitive items inside the pack.

Difficulty accessing items in main compartment.

Organize gear efficiently using the internal and lid pockets. Utilize the side zip for easier kit access to frequently needed items.
