Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Karrimor Summit Walking Shoes is straightforward:
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are threaded through all eyelets. Sit down and slide your foot into the shoe, making sure your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Adjusting Fit: Pull the laces firmly but not too tightly. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, ensuring even tension. You should be able to wiggle your toes comfortably, but your heel should not slip significantly when you walk.
- Secure Knot: Tie a secure knot (e.g., a double knot) to prevent the laces from coming undone during your walk.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for:
- Activity: Light walking, casual outdoor activities, everyday wear.
- Terrain: Best suited for paths, park trails, gravel, and light dirt trails. Not recommended for extremely rugged, steep, or technical terrain.
- Weather: Ideal for dry to moderately damp conditions. Their breathable mesh design may not offer adequate protection in heavy rain or very wet environments.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Karrimor Summit Walking Shoes:
- Cleaning: "Clean with soft dry cloth" is the recommended method. For dirt or mud, allow it to dry first, then gently brush it off. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the mesh and synthetic areas. For stubborn spots, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but avoid saturating the shoe.
- Drying: If the shoes become wet, remove the insoles and allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb residual moisture.
